You have to admit this is a pretty cool idea. They invite fans to try out on youtube for a "hootenany" held in 4 cities (Seattle, Portland, SF, and LA). The fans are all brought to the room with whatever instrument they tried out with (some odd ones too) and they all get to play along and sing along to weezer songs and a few covers, all of which are being recorded.
What other bands are doing that type of thing with their fans?
